Few scholars have had the impact Professor Münker has had on cooperative law. His research is all too well known. He taught cooperative law over decades, not only at his home university, the University of Marburg in Germany, but also abroad. He kept the subject alive and both reminded politicians of its value and international organizations of its necessity as a decisive development factor. And (above all?) he inspired young people to take the subject up at the risk of doing something, which many had come to believe as outdated.
